NAVTA, the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA), and the AAHA Helping Pets Fund are partnering in celebration of National Veterinary Technicians Week, October 11 through 17, 2009.
We are encouraging NAVTA student chapters to host a fundraising event during October 2009 to raise awareness of the important role veterinary technicians play in the lives of pets. The funds raised at these events will benefit the AAHA Helping Pets Fund, which provides grants for emergency and non-elective treatment of pets in need.
You and your students take an active role in the lives of pets by caring for them in a professional setting. We invite each of you to recognize, and publicize, the special bond between pets and their veterinary technicians by participating in the celebration. The chapter that raises the most funds will receive a celebratory luncheon, courtesy of AAHA. We will also publicize all of your efforts in AAHA and NAVTA publications. We want everyone to know how vital you are to the industry!
